🎒 FIRST ANNUAL BACKPACK GIVEAWAY! 🎒 Sims Metal and Laborers Local 108 were proud to come together for our first-ever Backpack Giveaway, joined by former New Jersey Governor @jim_mcgreevey , New Jersey State Senator Angela V. McKnight, @senatorangelavmcknight and Jersey City Mayor James Solomon @solomonforjc This event showed the power of labor, business, elected leaders, and the community working together to support local children and families. Together, we helped students get ready for the new school year with backpacks and school supplies. 📚✏️🎒 A special thank you to everyone who came out, volunteered, and helped make our first backpack giveaway a success. This is just the beginning. We look forward to growing this event every year and continuing to invest in the families and communities we serve.
